Lunar - Giant Reap

Brief description:

Shinzu Meng is one of the richest people in the world. He has not yet fulfilled a heart's desire since childhood: a trip to the moon.
He wants to kill two birds with one stone: fulfill his dream while laying the foundation for his own moon base.

In addition to marketing the moon trip ready for film, another goal is to transport moon rocks to earth again for fifty years.
A possible germ contamination of the earth's satellite is also to be investigated with the help of several on-site experiments.
An acquaintance of Shinzu's also asks him to take along an item steeped in history that has been on the surface of the moon for a long time.

But redeeming this favor has unforeseen consequences for all of mankind...

I have long been fascinated by the moon and its relationship to humanity. A highlight for me were the Apollo missions and their technical achievements. But the moon is just as unexplored as our oceans. One would like to build bases there - like one would like to mine oil in the deep sea of the world's oceans - and "harvest" raw materials, but one knows almost nothing about the conditions there. In particular, nobody can realistically assess longer stays of people. This train of thought was an inspiration for this story. Due to the corona pandemic in spring 2020, the story - which had already been thought through beforehand - also has a more than current reference.

Big thanks goes toCatherine Netolitzkyfor the design of the cover - it hits the heart of the story perfectly.
